Welcome, Skie! I am an old guy (see my Welcome post) but started playing the guitar when I was your age. Didn't play anything as advanced as Leyenda back then -- just 3 and 4 chord folk songs. My first guitar, a nylon string, was actually my sister's. She got it for Christmas, tried to play it for several days, but her finger tips were too sore. She gave up, and I took over. I am really enjoying the tutorials on Elite Guitarist and hope you do too! Dan
