Not really. No way am i leaving this site. Ive been working on Lagrima after purchasing the instructional videos. its been a wonderful experience so far and ive made much more progress than i ever expected in a relatively short amount of time. im still working on it but its been a real joy to learn this way. So i just wanted to say thank you for putting together this site and all the wonderful lessons.
Tavi, i just saw a video of you performing John Doan’s Farewell. what a beautiful piece and so well transcribed for guitar. any chance of seeing a tutorial series of that piece in the future? it would be a wonderful addition.
Thank you again!
Thank you Tavi! Posting a video at my beginning level sounds very intimidating! Maybe one day soon I will work up the courage. I am also working on El Noi de la Mare. This piece has always had a special place in my heart and is partially responsible for bringing me to the classical guitar. Perhaps a little above my current skill level but with dedication and practice I hope to one day perform it. Thank you for making such a great and detailed tutorial video for that piece as well!
Here is the piece for those who may not be familiar with it yet. Farewell by John Doan.
Thanks for the very kind words. Hmm..., now that's an idea. The piece is not too difficult and I could probably do the main theme of the piece without the variations. I am glad to hear you are making such good progress on Lagrima; prove it! :) Post a recording for us to see if it is not too intimidating. Keep up the good work. What else is on the docket for you next in terms repertoire?
